This is a view looking north, toward the new "Hollywoodland" subdivision, which is visible as the graded terrain below the Hollywoodland sign (later shortened to Hollywood). The San Gabariel mountinas are in the background, and what would become the town of Burbank is in the middle distance.

The bike 'n hike route follows the arrows from west to east. The Hollywood sign is visible below Mt. Lee. The view today is quite different, with much of the mountainside covered with homes.
